Chandrababu Naidu promises to give more seats to Muslims in the upcoming elections.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday promised to give more seats to Muslims in the upcoming elections and also proposed to appoint a Muslim minister soon in the State Cabinet. He made the promise at a convention of Muslims from all over the State here on Tuesday, with the slogan “Nara Hamara Telugu Desam Hamara”.He said Haj houses would be established in Vijayawada and Kadapa. The TDP had taken up several schemes during the past four years for the welfare of Muslims and minorities in general. He promised that a minority finance corporation would be established soon, to provide self-employment opportunities to youth.

He said the BJP had betrayed the interests of the State by going back on the promises and the YSR Congress as well as Janasena were in league with the BJP. “Not a single Muslim vote, or minority, the vote should go to those parties. If you vote for them, you are indirectly voting for the BJP. I am sure you will not do that, ” he cautioned the Muslims. Chandrababu said the Wakf Board had been constituted under the leadership of Jaleel Khan and all steps would be taken to protect Wakf properties. He said he had also opposed the stringent penal provisions in the triple talaq bill. He promised full security to Muslims and
minorities in the State.

Jaleel Khan also alleged that the YSR Congress leader Jagan Mohan Reddy was utterly selfish and he cared for none. Only the TDP would take care of our interests. Only our CM has the courage to take on the BJP at the national level, he said.
