Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday afternoon visited the residence of Nandamuri Harikrishna and paid homage to the actor-politician who lost his life in a road accident in Nalgonda district early on Wednesday morning. He consoled Harikrishna’s family including his sons Jr NT Rama Rao, Kalyan Ram, his brother Nandamuri Balakrishna and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and brother-in-law N Chandrababu Naidu.
The AP Chief Minister had rushed to Kamineni Hospital in Nakrekal in the morning upon learning of the accident. Chandrababu Naidu, along with Harikrishna’s sons, Jr NT Rama Rao and Kalyan Ram and other members of the family later accompanied the body of the departed leader to his home in Mehdipatnam area of the city. The Governor ESL Narasimhan, Deputy Chief Minister Md Mahmood Ali, IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao, Film and Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and many other political leaders and personalities from the film industry also visited Harikrishna’s residence and paid homage and consoled Harikrishna’s family.
Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao had earlier in the day instructed officials to conduct Harikrishna’s funeral with official honours. The funeral has been scheduled for Thursday evening at the Mahaprasthanam crematorium in Filmnagar.
