India beat Bangladesh by four wickets in Nidahas Trophy 2018.

India got their chase off to a positive start with captain Rohit Sharma taking the attack to the opposition in the opening overs. The India captain believed that Karthik was the best candidate at No. 6 to provide the final flourish, although Karthik was unhappy about not batting higher.India on Sunday defeated Bangladesh by four wickets in Nidahas T20 tri-series in Colombo. Needing five off the final delivery, Karthik smashed Soumya Sarkar over extra-cover as a second-string Indian side held its nerve in a tense situation to chase down a target of 167 in 20 overs. After Pandey fell for 28, Dinesh Karthik came out at No.7 and it seemed like the match had slipped away.

Needing 34 off the last 12 balls, India, who kept their unbeaten record against Bangladesh in T20 match pulled off a tense 167-run chase to win by four wickets at the R Premadasa Stadium.young off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz then got a taste of what world class batsmanship is as he was hit for two huge sixes one over deep mid-wicket and other over long-on along with another boundary.

Shikhar Dhawan (10) and Suresh Raina (0) were out in quick succession but the Indian captain was in his element as Bangladesh’s play of using spinners in the Powerplay didn’t prove to be as effective as India. When Vijay Shankar (17) fell in the final over bowled by Soumya Sarkar, India needed five runs off one ball. Karthik though was on strike and he carved a full and wide ball over deep extra cover for a six to spark delirious celebrations in the Indian camp.

Rubel Hossain picked up two wickets for Bangladesh, while Shakib Al Hasan, Nazmul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, and Soumya Sarkar grabbed one each.Earlier, Bangladesh tumbled at the start as they lost their openers early however, Sabbir Rahman emerged as the standout performer with a  77 off 50 balls, as Bangladesh managed to post 167-run target for India.Washington Sundar was the man of the series for his return of eight wickets for 114 runs in the 20 overs he had bowled. Rohit said that it was easy to lead this group of players and that they executed the plans perfectly.

Indian Off-Spinners Washington Sundar and Chahal gave 20 dot balls during the game while Bangladesh team achieved 66 runs in the last overs. Bangladesh player Sabbir showed his great batting side on Sunday.In the end, Mehidy Hasan Miraz slammed 18 runs off the final over to give Bangladesh a respectable total.
